In the eBRT2030 project, UPC will be mainly involved in the Barcelona pilot test, developing a new bus control strategy based on traffic light priority and slacks into schedule. Istanbul’s public transportation began on August 30, 1869, with the “Tramway in Dersaadet and Its Facilities” agreement. The first horse-drawn tram started operating on four lines in 1871. DPP is the public transport operator in Prague. What we now know as the Prague Public Transit Company was founded on 1 September 1897 as the “Office of Municipal Electric Companies” an enterprise of the Royal Capital City of Prague”. At that time, in addition to its public transportation services, this entity also engaged in the production and distribution of electricity. In 1946, after the nationalization of the energy sector and the gradual separation of power plants, gas and waterworks, the remaining public transportation part of the then “Municipal Enterprises of Prague” was transformed into the “Transport Enterprises of the Capital City of Prague”.

Start Romagna is the operator managing public transport within the Romagna area since 2012. The company is the result of the merger of the operators in the provinces of Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna and Rimini and now employs 960 people, including drivers, mechanics and office workers. START ROMAGNA services include buses on urban and inter-urban routes, school transport, a full electric BRT system, two ferries for cars and passengers, a parking area. K2 is Sweden’s national centre for research and education on public transport. This is where academia, the public sector and industry meet to discuss and develop the role of public transport in Sweden.
